Heroes don't save the world. It is the villains that want to save the world, to keep it going. Its the cycle of Samsara, the illusion of Maya and the power of Mara.
I started a plot outline with this in mind, and found out that it could be a matter of identity.
Its not about saving the world. The universe can take care of its own evil.
It is human beings who invent new inhumanities, and as such invent the good guys to face them. And who better to face overdramatic baddies than teenagers recruited into the first circle of a secret society?
This is called an etude. A study in how a 1960's X-men storyline plays out in an outdated culture.
The past is the summer of sixty-nine.

The future is around the corner, the past is waiting with a loaded gun.
Currently I am working on the script for a comic book. It sounds clever at first until you realize that it has been done before. A hybrid between Spy Fiction and Occult horror. Or maybe, Harry Potter meets James Bond, MI13, for instance. So far I am having trouble coming up with a working title. The fact that I have had writers block for half a decade is not making things any easier on me.
I do have a number of questions that need answering.
How did Danger Mouse lose his eye?
